A visitation for Freida Solley, 71, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Freida Jean (Sharp) Solley, a beloved member of the Bridgeport community, was born on November 16, 1953, in Olton, Texas, to Robert and Wilma (Griffin) Sharp. She peacefully passed away on November 15, 2025, just one day shy of her 72nd birthday.
Freida dedicated a significant part of her life to serving as a school bus driver for Bridgeport ISD. Her commitment to the children she transported daily showcased her caring nature and her dedication to the community.
Freida found joy in many hobbies and interests throughout her life, including crafting, camping, and boating. These activities brought her happiness and allowed her to connect with nature and her loved ones.
She will be remembered for her caring spirit and the joy she brought to those around her. Freida will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Ford; parents, Robert and Wilma Sharp; brothers, Vernon, Cecil, Richard, and Bobby Sharp; and sister, Rhonda Kinsey.
Those left to cherish Freida’s memory are her son, Jason Sherrill; daughters, Rebecca Wright, Raylinda Flores, and Sarah Ford; sisters, Marie Baze and Elaine Haussecker; grandchildren, Rebecca Flores, Monica Hooper, Kamber Wheeler, Noah Flores, Katelynn Wright, Faith Wright, and Elijah Ford; great-grandchildren, Kason Wheeler, Mila Hooper, and Cannan Hooper; as well as her devoted companion, her dog Pipp.
