Faye Cormier

Funeral services for Faye Cormier, 101, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Burial will follow at Wilson Prairie Cemetery in Bridgeport. Britt Doty, Ray Cook, and Chris Wan will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Alec Gonzales, Jaden Crunk, Chance Carter, Rob Shaw, Troy Gelsky, and Jasper Winn.

Faye Cormier passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2026. She was born on September 3, 1924, in Bridgeport, Texas, to Charlie and Ola Winn. Raised in Bridgeport, Faye lived a life devoted to her faith, family, friends, and service to others.

In 1943, Faye married the love of her life, Leon Houchins. Together, they built a loving family and shared 38 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories. After Leon’s passing, Faye later married Howard Cormier.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Leon Houchins and Howard Cormier; her sons, Gary Wynn Houchins and Eddy Leon Houchins; her great-grandson Chase Carter, her brother; Jimmy Ray Winn, Bill Winn, and Vern Winn; her daughter-in-law, Betty Ann Houchins; and her son-in-law, Steve Forrester.

Faye is survived by her daughter, Debra Garwood and husband James; her granddaughters, Angela, Crissy, LaNae and husband Chad, Elizabeth and husband Rob, and Emily and husband Troy; her great-grandsons, Alec, Jaden, and Chance; her great-granddaughters, Gracie and Avery; her great-great-granddaughter, Evie; her brother, Tommy Winn and wife Diane; and her daughter-in-law, Shirley Houchins.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Paradise Church of Christ in Paradise, Texas.
