Evelyn R. Dowdy

Evelyn R. Dowdy, 83, of Decatur, formerly of Arlington, TX, passed away on September 20, 2017 at her home.  She was born September 28, 1933, to Paul and Helen Radvany in Richmond, Virginia.  

Evelyn is survived by son, Joseph William Dowdy, Jr. of Decatur and daughter, Carolyn Hodge of Powhatan, Virginia.  She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph William Dowdy; parents, Paul and Helen Radvany; and 11 siblings.        

There will be a private burial.   Jones Family Funeral Home-Decatur is handling the arrangements.
