Ellen Burk

A graveside service for Ellen Burk, 77, of Decatur, Texas will be 10:00 am Thursday, July 29, 2021 in Decatur’s Sweetwater Cemetery, officiated by Leonard King, where she will be joining her recently deceased husband of 54 years, Sonny Burk. Ellen passed away at home Sunday, July 25.

She was born September 17, 1943 to Jesse Belton Vail and wife Sadie Bridgette (Borders) Vail in Shelbyville, Texas.

Ellen leaves behind her sons Glenn, Dale, and Ronnie Burk; daughter Belinda Funnelle; sister Neal King; brothers Jesse and Harlon Vail; grandchildren Justin Burk, Sierra Peck, Brianna Robinson, and Sunny Burk; and great-grandchildren Bralyn, Saylor, Rylan, and Kanyon Peck, and Gracelyn Rose Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and several brothers and sisters.
