Ella Jane Dozier

Services for Ella Jane Dozier, 84, of Decatur, Texas will be 2:00 pm Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas, officiated by Jack McAsey. Burial will follow in Chico Cemetery in Chico, Texas. Pallbearers are Stephen Sasser, Blake Sasser, Derek Moore, Joe Lopez, Ben Lopez, and Izaak Torres. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Saturday, February 26, also at the funeral home. Jane passed away Tuesday, February 22 in Fort Worth, Texas.

She was born December 19, 1937 in Panama, Oklahoma to Rosser A. Scott and Jettie (Wood) Scott.

Jane was the pianist for many years at Faith Temple church (now Father’s House Church), and most recently at New Hope Fellowship. Those who enjoyed listening to her play felt that no one could rival her talent or her servant’s heart.

She wore many hats, but devoted her life to her family. She often took many trips with the kids and grandkids.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are children Stephen Sasser and wife Brandy of Saginaw, Texas, Susan Moore and husband Brian of Checotah, Oklahoma, and Sandy Wright and husband Scott of Watauga, Texas; daughter-in-law Myra Sasser of Bridgeport; sister Dorothy Gregory of Buhler, Kansas; sister-in-law Juanita Scott of Seminole, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don Dozier, son Sam Sasser, and brother Rosser Paul Scott.
