Services for Dorothy Price, 82, of Rhome, Texas, will be held at a later date. 

Dorothy LaRue Price, 82, of Centerville, Texas, passed away on April 28, 2026, in Rhome, Texas. Born on January 5, 1944, in Alvin, Texas, she was the daughter of William Raymond and Georgia Inez (Martin) Flora. Dorothy married Darven Kenneth “Kenny” Price on December 27, 1982, in Alvin, Texas.

Dorothy attended Alvin High School and was a member of the Baptist Church. She worked as an industrial insulator, but the roles she treasured most were those of wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed caring for her livestock, mowing her property, spending time with her grandchildren, and taking trips to the beach.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, W.R. and Georgia Flora of Alvin; her husband, Kenneth Price of Centerville; daughter, De’ Niece’ Williams of Alvin; Jeanette Flora Barnes of Angelton; and Durwood Flora of Alvin.

She is survived by her son, Wendell Lee Williams; son-in-law, Kent Byrd of Rhome, Texas; her daughter, Teresa Byrd of Rhome, Texas; brothers, Torchy Flora, David Flora, and R.L. Flora; grandchildren, Dillon Byrd and wife Kristine of Rhome, Texas, Brady Byrd and wife Brandi of Rhome, Texas, Faith Byrd of Rhome, Texas, Brianna Ochrlein and husband Robert of Coldspring, Texas, and Brandon Williams and wife Anna of Corpus Christi, Texas; seven great-grandchildren with two more expected, as well as numerous family members and friends who will fondly remember her.
