Debbie Bible

Debbie Annette Bible entered into eternal rest on June 29, 2016 at 51 years 11 months 18 days in Bernice, LA (Spearsville, LA) after a courageous struggle with heart failure. A memorial service was held on Sunday, July 3, 2016, in the chapel at Chancellor and Jones Family Funeral Home in Decatur, Texas. The fifth child of Charles Augusta Bible, Jr. and Louis Jean Jackson Bible, was born July 17, 1964 in Clifton (Bosque), Texas where she spent the first 3 years of her life. Then the family relocated to Decatur (Wise), Texas in 1967 where Debbie was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church and attended Decatur Elementary, Middle and High schools. In the mid 1980's, she also attended Vogue School of Cosmetology. She worked on and off through the years as a grocery store attendant (Foodway), a cook, a housekeeper (domestic, industrial and healthcare), care giver (adults and pediatric) and many other odds jobs. Debbie had a love for butterflies and crosses, arts and crafts, painting, jewelry, music (including karaoke) and perfumes. She bought “JOY” to everyone she knew and never met a stranger. She would make you talk to her whether you wanted to or not..... Debbie had a giant smile and bright expressive eyes that always hinted at mischief, a straight forward manner and the uncanny ability to evoke laughter from anyone, anywhere. She was always the life of the party, the fun person, the family comedian. She exhibited a unique outlook on life. Never got in a “HURRY for anything....slow as CHRISTMAS. She was one of a kind. She is cherished in memory by her devoted 2 daughters, Laycee (Neil) Pittman, Ashtyn Bible; son, Cebryn Bible; grandsons, Caiden Jennings, Camden Jennings Pittman; granddaughters, Samantha Pittman, Madison Pittman, Bailye Pittman all of Coalgate, OK; mother, Louis “Jean” Bible of Decatur, Texas; brothers: DaLane (Tessa) Bible and Dean Bible, Sr. both of Decatur, Texas; sisters, Darlene Bible of Lake Worth, Texas, Darenda (Delbert) Kirby of Cedar Hill, Texas, Deanna (Luis) Delgado of Decatur, Texas, and Cyril Bible of Oakland, CA; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends; one special friend, Darin Karch of Spearsville, LA. Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Charles Augusta Bible, Jr. and grandparents, Charles Augusta Bible Sr., Esther Oliver Bible and Oran “Jeff” Jefferson.
