David Lee Thompson

David L. Thompson, 74, of Decatur passed away March 17, 2018 in Decatur.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Sand Hill Cemetery in Decatur. 

David was born December 4, 1943 in Lawton, OK to Claude Thompson and Helen Leu. He married Joyce Dees on November 11, 1967 in Lawton, OK and moved to Fort Worth. David retired from the State of Texas after 25 years where he was one of the pioneers of Texas Air Quality Control. After his retirement he went to work for the City of Fort Worth. David was a father figure to every child in his River Oaks neighborhood. He dearly loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings. He will be missed by them dearly.
