David Puckett

David Puckett, 56, of Alvarado, Texas, formerly of Bridgeport, Texas passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 16, 2013, in the Chapel at Jones Family Funeral Home. David Bennett will officiate. Burial will be in Jim Ned Cemetery. Pallbearers are C. J. Johnson, Delbert Beall, Tommy Rose, Roy Robinson, James Smith, Danny Long, and Rick England. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the funeral home. David was born February 18, 1957, in Bridgeport to Myrtle Marie (Maddux) and Richard Frances Puckett. He was a truck driver and a member of teamsters local union #745. He married Margaret Campion on October 27, 2001. David enjoyed golf, fishing, attending classic car shows, and watching movies. He is survived by his wife; sons Charles Landon Puckett of Lompoc, California, Howard Smith of Lufkin, Texas, Timothy Smith of Ennis, Texas, and Robert Chapman of Alvarado; daughters Ashley St. John of Bridgeport and Melissa Wright of Alvarado; brothers Dewayne Puckett of Chico, Texas and Doug Puckett of Pittsburg, Texas; sister Donna Puckett of Bridgeport; grandchildren Christa, Nathan, Tyler, Autumn, Cody, Jasmine, Hallie, William, Bryon, Daniel, Hannah, John Jr., Amy, and Aiden; and great-granddaughter Farrah. David is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Darrell and Danny Lee Puckett; and grandson Dylan Chapman.
