David "Paperboy" Leon Smith, II

Funeral services for David “Paperboy” Leon Smith, II, 34, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, with burial to follow at Paradise Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the funeral home. Ernest Shockley will officiate.

Pallbearers will include Braxton Goode, Colton Tollerson, Aaron Uselton, Kyle Denton, Cory Cole, Kris Atkins, Brandon Kennedy, and Clint Davis.

David “Paperboy” Leon Smith, II, was born February 13, 1991, in Denton, Texas, to David Leon and Barbara (Shockley) Smith, and passed away on April 21, 2025, in Alvord, Texas. He was a loving and caring individual who enjoyed life to the fullest.

David was known for his passion for truck driving, which brought him joy and adventure on the open road. He cherished moments spent cooking out and making delicious meals, often sharing these times with his family and friends. David also loved spending lazy days at the lake, where he created memories that will be treasured by those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jean Smith, and grandfather, David Leonard Smith.

Those left to cherish David’s memory are his daughter, Kadey Nichole Morgan; father, David Smith and wife Crystal; brother, Michael Shane Smith; grandparents, Patricia Tollerson and Lavon Griffth; aunt, Kerri Tollerson; lifetime friend, Ashley Davis; nephew, Braxton Goode (his pride and joy); and a host of friends.
