A visitation for David Bradley Garrison, 47, of Drumnadrochit, Scotland (formerly of Bridgeport, Texas), is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 6-8 p.m. at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Brad Garrison, beloved husband, cherished son, and esteemed professional, passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 47. Born on January 3, 1979, Brad was a remarkable individual whose life was marked by extraordinary achievements and deep connections with those around him.

While attending Bridgeport High School Brad competed in the Texas State Math and Science competitions all four years and earned the title of Class 3A Texas State Math Champion his junior and senior year. Brad Graduated as the BHS Class Valedictorian of 1997 and continued his education at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned not one, but two bachelor’s degrees in business and management information systems, graduating with honors and a perfect 4.0 GPA. His pursuit of knowledge led him to the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, where he achieved quadruple master’s degrees in Business Administration, Finance, Management, and Marketing.

In his professional career, Brad held positions at several prestigious companies including Bain & Company, Hilti, NCH, and Solenis. He was particularly proud of his accomplishments in establishing an IT team in the Philippines during his time with NCH/Solenis, which involved multiple trips to Manila. He also found happiness and a sense of accomplishment through his work with Tech Mahindra in India.

Brad was not only driven in his career but was also deeply committed to his community. For the past 20 years, he generously volunteered his time and expertise as the web administrator for Greyhounds Unlimited, a Dallas-area Greyhound rescue organization. Through this role, Brad helped support the rescue and care of countless animals in need, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to animal welfare.

In addition to his work with Greyhounds Unlimited, Brad volunteered with CASA of Travis County, where he advocated for children in foster care. His involvement with CASA reflected his compassion and commitment to helping those most vulnerable, further exemplifying the caring and generous spirit that defined his life. He also took great pleasure in contributing to the village community in Drumnadrochit, where he developed an app for the local tourist information center, facilitating the service for hikers along Scotland's beautiful trails, including the renowned Loch Ness.

A passionate runner, Brad devoted himself to trail running, marathons, and ultra-marathons, completing countless races in cities such as Austin and Dallas, and tackling ultra-marathons in South Dakota, Nevada, and Colorado. His love for the great outdoors also fueled his enthusiasm for hiking and camping. He had a special fondness for Iceland, visiting the country nine times, and enjoyed the festive atmosphere of German Christmas markets, as well as the charm of Prague from his numerous business trips to the region.

Brad shared a beautiful life with his husband, Charles, with whom he formed a strong bond starting in their freshman year at the University of Texas. They celebrated 28 years together, including ten wonderful years of marriage on May 24th.

As we remember Brad, we reflect on the impact he made. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and by the many lives he touched throughout his journey.

Brad is preceded in death by his father, David Garrison of Bridgeport; and father-in-law, Victor de los Santos of Spring, Texas, grandparents, James and Ruth Garrison and Ed and Jane Cowling of Bridgeport.
