Crystal Nichole Lankford was born on November 25, 1983, in McKinney, Texas, to Richard Kratzer and Robin (Copeland) Hamilton. She passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, in Decatur, Texas, at the age of 42.
Crystal married Mark Lankford in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. She was a devoted stay-at-home mom who treasured her family deeply.
Crystal enjoyed many simple pleasures in life. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, being outside, fishing, listening to music, and driving. These activities brought her joy and peace.
Her family and friends remember her for her kindness and the warmth she shared with those around her. Crystal’s life was one filled with love for her family and the moments she cherished.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Crystal is preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Audrey George of Decatur, Texas, and Mavis Hamilton of Pace, Mississippi.
Those left to cherish Crystal’s memory are her sons, Thomas Lankford and Abel Carpenter; her daughters, Mackenzie Lankford and Dixie Lankford, both of Decatur, Texas; her mother, Robin Hamilton of Decatur, Texas; her fathers, Ritchard Kratzer of Decatur, Texas, and Benny Hamilton Jr. of Pace, Mississippi; ex-husband, Mark Lankford; her brother, Jason Hamilton of Pace, Mississippi; her grandfather, Benny Hamilton Sr. of Pace, Mississippi; her grandchildren, Kingsley, Phoenix, Kayce, Jaxson Ensey, and Juniper Baker; and many friends and extended family members.
