Cora Beth Read

Funeral services for Cora Beth Read, 84, of Paradise, Texas will be at 10:00 am on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Bible Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Texas, officiated by Brother Dale Webster. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery in Paradise. Pallbearers are Brad Mitchum, Robert Mitchum, Cason Mitchum, Justin Read, Colin Read, and Brian Read. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service also at the church. Cora Beth passed away Wednesday, March 18 in Bridgeport.

She was born in Bridgeport, Texas on May 3, 1935 to Richard and Florence (Sanders) McDaniel. Cora married Leon Read on November 15, 1952 in Decatur, Texas. They were married for over 50 years.

Cora Beth was survived by her son Richard Read and wife Leda of Paradise; daughters Vickie Mitchum and husband Jerry of Bridgeport and Rhonda Read and husband Rickey of Bridgeport; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; brothers Hubert, Cecil, Murph, Jim, Leon, Don, and Jack; sisters Pearl, Artie Mae, Essie, Gwen, Ann, Bernice, Bess, and Janice; and great-grandson Ethan.
