Clay Anderson

Clay Houston Anderson, 51, of Decatur, Texas passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Ascension and St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Bridgeport, Texas. Father Ryan Reed will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Clay was born April 27, 1961 in Fort Worth, Texas to Ann (Arnette) and Gene Anderson. He married Betty Patton on February 11, 1984 in Stephenville, Texas. He received a Masters Degree in Agricultural Education from Tarleton State University. He was a teacher with Chico ISD who loved calf roping, farming and ranching, riding horses, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife; son Kyle Anderson and wife Shayla (Taylor) of Decatur; daughter Katy Anderson and husband Scott McKamie of Ponder, Texas; father Gene Anderson of Decatur; brothers Steve Anderson and wife Mary of Fort Worth, Texas, and Blake Anderson and wife Robynne of Bakersfield, California; and sister Janan Anderson of Alvord, Texas. He is preceded in death by his mother; grandparents Jackie and Glenn Arnette of Fort Worth and Opal Bailey of Fort Worth, and mother-in-law Doris Patton.
