Christine (Bean) Cantrell, lovingly known as Tine or Granny to all who knew her, went home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2026, in Bridgeport, Texas, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. She was born to George and Virgie (Morrow) Bean in Wizard Wells, Texas, on August 10, 1941, and blessed those around her with 84 years of faith, devotion, hard work, laughter, and love.

Tine married the love of her life, Ernest Cantrell, on October 18, 1958. Together, they built a life rooted in love and shared 49 years of marriage before his passing in 2009. Together, they raised three beloved sons, affectionately known as Scotty, Rocky, and Toddy, who were among the greatest joys of her life.

She was a lifelong member of Balsora Baptist Church, where her faith guided her life and remained a source of comfort, strength, and grace.

Tine attended Bridgeport schools but left shortly before graduating. With determination and pride, she later earned her GED and obtained a real estate license, which she held for many years. When Ernest opened C&W Transport in Bridgeport in 1977, Tine stood faithfully by his side, handling the company’s bookkeeping and helping support the life they built together.

She later served for many years as director of activities at an independent living center, where her kindness, warmth, and caring spirit brought comfort and joy to many lives.

Tine was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, George and Virgie Bean; her husband, Ernest Cantrell; her son, Todd Cantrell; her sisters, Edith Jones, Gracie Wilson, and Geneva Hughes; her brother, Buddy Bean; her daughter-in-law, Marsha Cantrell; her sister-in-law, Darlene Bean; and her brothers-in-law, Bobby Cantrell, Calvin Hughes, and Leon Wilson. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever carry her memory in their hearts: her sons, Scott Cantrell and wife Connie of Bridgeport, and Rocky Cantrell and wife Rhonda of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Courtney Rainwater and husband Titian and their children, Chandler, Garrett, Ella, and Hudson; Ernie Cantrell and wife Lottie and their children, Emma, Ady, and Raylee; Melvin Cantrell and wife Ashley and their children, Bryce, Brody, Gracie, and Bella; and Sumer Cantrell-Mason and husband Dusty and their son, Knox; two great-great-grandsons, Dorian Hughes and Levi Hughes; her sister, Rose Brewer; brother-in-law, Wesley Cantrell and wife Nadine; sister-in-law, Carol Sue Cantrell; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and extended family who were blessed to know and love her.
