Cherry Sue Steagall

A graveside service for Cherry Sue Steagall, 73, of Paradise, Texas will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Paradise Cemetery. Cherry passed away Sunday, April 2 at home. She was born July 25, 1943 in Bridgeport, Texas to Bonnie Foster ‘Tommy Boy’ Brown and Blanche Marie Preskitt Brown. Cherry was a nurse whose hobbies included reading. She is survived by daughters Doni Caruthers and husband Skeet of Paradise, Pattie Davis and husband Jeff of Bridgeport, Tracie Smith and husband Jerry of Paradise, and Samantha Steagall of Paradise; brothers Tommy Brown of Bridgeport, and Rusty Brown and wife Elaine of Bridgeport; sisters Barbara McDaniel and husband Austin of Bridgeport, Rayanne Gentry and husband Brad of Paradise, and Carolyn Akins of Denton; grandchildren Colton Caruthers, Ashlee Smith, Kaylee Brown, Sammy Davis and Kaitlynn Smith; and great-grandchildren Zoey Brown, Barrett Cobb, and Asher Caruthers. Cherry was preceded in death by husbands Donley Rose, Jr, and Sam Steagall; her parents; and brothers Jim Brown, Gary Brown and Mike Brown. Arrangements handled by Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
