Charlotte Diane Tackett

Charlotte Tackett, 67, passed away October 6, 2018 at home. Memorial service is Saturday, October 20, at 2:00 PM, at Rock Island Family Church in Boyd, Texas.  

Charlotte was born Sept. 11, 1951 in Point Mugu, CA to Hollis and Vera Burks. She married Albert Tackett October 4, 1981 in Rhome. Charlotte was a store clerk for 20 years. She was a member of Rock Island Family Church in Boyd. Charlotte enjoyed playing video and card games with her family and friends.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Albert "JR" Tackett and her sister Suzan Swihart.

Charlotte is survived by her sons, Russell Burks of Boyd, Steven Tackett and wife Bambi of Azle; daughter, Sheryl Lambert and husband Tim of Decatur; granddaughters, Keauna and Shaylee; grandsons, Nathan and Brody; step father, Warren Miller and wife Linda of Colorado City; sister, Barbara Burks of Huntsville, AL; brothers, Byron Burks of Newport, VA, William Miller of Colorado City, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are entrusted to Jones Family Funeral Home-Decatur.
