Cathy Sue Lacey, born on February 24, 1957, in Lake Worth, Texas, to Norman and Mary (Hefley) Eaton, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, at the age of 68. Cathy was known for her devoted career in banking at the First State Bank of Denton, where she made lasting connections with her colleagues and customers alike.

Cathy was deeply involved in her church and community. She was a proud member of the Central Baptist Church in Chico, Texas, and served as the secretary/treasurer for the American Legion #252 in Bowie. Additionally, she participated in the Ladies Friendship Club in Chico, where she connected with many friends and made lasting memories.

Apart from her work and community involvement, Cathy enjoyed a range of hobbies. She found joy in canning and baking treats for her family and friends. Her moments with granddaughter Ashlee were especially precious—they often cooked together and created happy memories. Fishing outings, card games, bingo nights with friends, and volunteering at American Legion concessions all brought Cathy a sense of fulfillment and connection.

She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and friendship.
