Brittany Ranae-Lynn Hendrix was born April 22, 1999, in Temple, Texas, to Jimmy and Tammy (Fowler) Hendrix. She passed away July 8, 2026, in Justin, Texas, leaving those who knew and loved her with many treasured memories.

Brittany was studying meteorology and had carried a love of music with her throughout her life. Naturally gifted, she could sit down with nearly any instrument and play it by ear. She found joy in the simple and meaningful moments—exploring town and country roads, traveling, fishing, horseback riding, seeing the northern lights, eating sushi, taking naps like her dad, visiting water parks on childhood vacations, hunting, and roller-skating.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Thomas Elmer and Mary Jo Shawn of Bridgeport, Texas; grandfather, Joe Leland Fowler of Athens, Texas; grandmother, Peggy Lorene Barnett of Paradise, Texas; and uncles, Charles and Robert Fowler.

Brittany’s memory will be cherished by her family, including her mother, Tammy Hendrix; her father, Jimmy Hendrix, and his wife, Holly Hendrix; her stepsister, Caitlin Mario; her grandfather, James Barnett; and her aunts and uncles, Steven Fowler, Terry Fowler, Lisa Schmedthorst, Tommy Hendrix, and Paul Barnett. She will also be lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Brittany’s memory to Jenny’s Hope Wise County Christian Counseling, 1650 S. FM 51, Suite 400, Decatur, Texas 76234.
