Funeral Services for Brenda Jean Dugan (Caraway), 65, of Paradise, Texas, will be held at 10:30 am Friday, September 1, 2023, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Brenda Jean Dugan (Caraway), a beloved member of the community, passed away on August 24, 2023, leaving behind countless cherished memories. She was born on May 28, 1958, to Jerry Dugan and Bobbie Jean Cox in Olney, Texas, and her departure has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Brenda married Jay Caraway and was happily married for 25 years. She had a wonderful zest for life and enjoyed various hobbies and interests. One of her greatest joys came from spending time with her grandbabies. Their laughter filled her heart with happiness, and she cherished every moment shared with them. Brenda's dedication to her family extended beyond her role as a grandmother; she also enjoyed going to the casino with her sister, husband, and daughter. These outings were always full of laughter, excitement, and making precious memories together.

Survivors include her husband Jay Caraway; son Robert Lee Abbott; daughter Melissa Ann Goggans; sister Mary Ann Biddle; grandchildren Coltyn Lee Strickland, Kynzlie Grace Trachta, Kutter Reece Goggans; and a host of family and friends.

Brenda is preceded in death by her father Jerry Lee Dugan of Big Spring, Texas; mother Bobbie Jean Saucer of Silver Run, Mississippi; and brothers Jerry Glenn, Ronnie Lee, and Walter Lamar Dugan of Paradise, Texas.
