Bob Ferrier

Robert Earl “Bob” Ferrier, 79, of Bridgeport went to his heavenly home on Friday, November 18, 2016. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 22 at the Bible Baptist Church of Bridgeport. Burial will follow at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Dr. Dale Webster will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dustin Rainwater, Ryan Ferrier, Jimmy Sheppard, Hunter Blankenship, Corbin Coleman and Casen Hayes. Honorary pallbearers are Jackson Lites, Blaine Sheppard and Jake Ferrier. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday, November 21 at Jones Family Funeral Home, Bridgeport. Bob was born December 14, 1936 in Seymour, Texas to Robert and Lois (Glaze) Ferrier. He married the love of his life, Ruby Dolores Crenshaw on June 13, 1953. Bob was a longtime member of the Bible Baptist Church of Bridgeport and spent many years in the grocery business. He was always on the go and loved to travel. He spent time reading and trading livestock and never wanted to miss a game of Wheel of Fortune on TV. Most of all, Bob loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Dolores Ferrier; son Scott Ferrier and wife Joanne; daughter Cynthia “Cindy” McLendon and husband Joe; sister Ruth Ferrier Little and husband Charley; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, son Gregory Earl Ferrier, daughter Velvet Lou Ferrier, two brothers, and two sisters.
