Billy Mack Davidson

Funeral services for Billy Mack Davidson, 85, of Chico, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2026, at First Baptist Church Chico. Burial will follow at Chico Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the church. Pastor Ronnie Lawson will officiate.

Pallbearers will include Monty Hambrick, Cody Hambrick, Cole Odom, Braden Schurman, Tye Sandlin, Tyler Wallace, Toby Wallace, David Burrow, and Christopher Jackson. Honorary Pallbearers will include Topper Loper and Rocky Loper.

Born on June 11, 1941, in Bridgeport, Texas, to Jack and Madeline (Byers) Davidson, Billy Mack Davidson went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in Bowie, Texas.

Billy Mack proudly served his country in the United States Army for four years. On November 29, 2004, he married Millie Hoover in Paradise, Texas. Together, they shared 21 years of marriage before his passing.

Billy Mack worked as a heavy equipment operator for TXI for 39 years. With his love of antiques, he also operated a small antique business at Bowie Trade Days for 13 years. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry, restoring furniture, and gardening. He was also a member of First Baptist Church Chico.

Billy Mack was a beloved son, husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Madeline Davidson; his wife, Sandy Davidson; his brothers, Melton Davidson and Tommy Wayne Davidson; his son, Richard Bishop; and his great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Sandlin.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Millie Davidson; his sons, Tony Davidson and wife Annette of Paradise, Terry Davidson and wife Joanna of Nocona, and Raymond Bishop of Chico; and his daughters, Sharon Whitaker and husband Larry of Paradise, Stacey Sandlin of Lake Dallas, and Brandy Burrow and husband David of Keller.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Monty Hambrick, Cody Hambrick, Stephanie Anderson, Samantha Whitaker, Tyler Wallace, Toby Wallace, Chasity Davidson, Andrew Davidson, Chelsie Odom, Crista Sandlin, Tye Sandlin, Emmy Thomas, Kimora Thomas, Christopher Jackson, and Reagan Burrow; 23 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
