Graveside services for Bill Johnson, 80, of Bridgeport, Texas, are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Eastside Cemetery in Bridgeport. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. 

Pallbearers will include Randy Chambers, J.D. Coffman, Cliff Fuentes, Leslie Gage, Ricky Payne, and Tim Raley; Honorary Pallbearers, Clay Cavasos, Terry Carlton, Derek Gage, Dustin Gage, Clayton Green, Earl Green, Bart Johnson, Lance Johnson, Randy Johnson, Louis King, Kurt Long, Winford McDaniel, Stephen Melde, Bill Miles, Bruce Nance, Mike Nivens, Rodney Rankin, Jearld Short, Casey Thompson, Jay Michael Thompson, Jamie Newberry and Charles Trail.

Billy Mac Johnson, a respected retired production foreman for Devon Energy, passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on April 9, 1945, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Joe M. and Velma (Bradley) Johnson. Bill lived a life devoted to both his career and his family. He moved to Bridgeport in 1954 and spent the remainder of his life in the Bridgeport & Runaway Bay area.

On May 26, 1967, Bill married Peggy Ann (Payne) Johnson in Fort Worth. They spent 58 1/2 years together filling their lives with love and memories. Bill enjoyed Team Roping, John Wayne movies and Gunsmoke.

Bill was active in the Methodist Church in Bridgeport & Chico, where he found a sense of community and purpose. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Those preceding him in death are his parents, Joe and Velma Johnson; siblings: Brad Johnson and Barbara Joy (Johnson) Price; niece, Rhee Anna (Price) Gage; and nephew, Jim Price.

Throughout his life, Bill was blessed with an enormous circle of family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Peggy Johnson; son, Scott (Delisa) Johnson; grandchildren, Annbra Johnson and Chad Johnson and great-grandchild, Eli Johnson. His brother, Bob Johnson. His sisters-in-law, Billie Suggs, Joy Payne and Tootie (Jerry) Pool; brother-in-law, Jimmy (Connie) Payne; and a host of nephews, nieces, and MANY Friends.
