Barbara Mote

Barbara Ann Mote, 71, of Bridgeport, Texas passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 in Decatur, Texas. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 9, 2015 in Greenwood Cemetery. Reverend Charles Childers will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, June 8, 2015 at Jones Family Funeral Home. Barbara was born November 6, 1943 in Dallas, Texas to Bernadine (Vermillion) and L. A. Johnson. She was a retired teacher who taught music in Wise County for over thirteen years. She graduated from college with a music education degree from East Texas Baptist College in Marshall, Texas. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Chrysanthemum Club, and Bridgeport School Board, and was the choir director for First Presbyterian Church in Bridgeport for a number of years. She was very proud of her family. She is survived by her two sons David Mote and wife Alyssa McIntosh, and Robert Mote and wife Kim; brothers Warner McBride of Waco, Texas, and Larry Johnson of Dallas, Texas; sister Nova Thompson of Kyle, Texas; and grandchildren Morgan and Tanner Mote and Cash Isom. The father of her children is Wells Robert Mote. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother Bernadine McBride and father L.A. Johnson.
