Graveside services for Barbara Gregg, 87, from Bridgeport, Texas, are set for Friday, January 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Willow Point Cemetery in Bridgeport. Prior to the service, a viewing will be held at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home beginning at 11 a.m. After the graveside ceremony, a memorial service will take place at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. Keith Johnson from Tulsa, Oklahoma, will be officiating.
Barbara (Johnson) Gregg was born on September 25, 1938, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Fred E. and Antha Morgan Johnson, and passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, December 25, 2025.
Barbara attended schools in Fort Worth, Texas. She married the love of her life, Jean A. Gregg, on July 27, 1978, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. They shared 44 beautiful years together before his passing on March 3, 2023.
Barbara and Jean’s home was always welcoming, and she enjoyed cooking for friends and family as much as possible. She was a member of The Christian Center Church in Chickasha.
Barbara played the piano for many years at Faith Family Church in Plainview, Texas. She loved the Lord, her family, and church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Mark Helton of Freeport, Florida, David Helton and wife Dee Ann of Freeport, Florida, Vickie Tye and husband Brandon of Alex, Oklahoma, Candy McWilliams and husband Paul of Azle, Texas, Jerrie Woodford and husband Rocky of Christoval, Texas, Jody Gregg and wife Karen of Gainesville, Texas, and Russell Gregg and wife Loretta of Bridgeport, Texas; and her brother, Keith Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was blessed with fifteen grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Jean Holmes and Norma George; and brother, Kenneth Johnson.
The family would like to thank the staff at Cottonwood Creek Nursing Home, Good Shepherd Hospice, and her sweet friend, Wanda Smith.
