Graveside services for Barbara Ruth Bohannan, 71, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2025, at West Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Whitt Funeral Home Chapel in Duncan, Oklahoma.
Barbara Ruth Bohannan, of Marlow, was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on November 22, 1953, to Frank William and Elsie Rebecca (Garrison) Bader. She completed her earthly journey on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the age of 71 with her family at her side in Duncan, Oklahoma.
Barbara attended Bridgeport Public Schools and then attended some college classes. She was an entrepreneur from 1998 to 2017 who also worked for Halliburton from 2007 to 2015. During her early years she enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. Barbara loved sewing and baking. She also loved animals, especially dogs. Barbara was a very loving wife, mother, and beloved granny. She married Darrell Lee Bohannan on March 14, 2003.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Elsie Bader, and brother Larry Bader.
Those left to cherish Barbara's memory are her husband, Darrell; four children, Marshall Pittman and spouse Tesa, Bobbie McKittrick and spouse Luke, Shawn Bohannan and spouse Sarah, Brian Bohannan and spouse Eva; 11 grandchildren, Morgan Lovell, McKyla Clarke, McKenna Pittman, Mason Pittman, Destiny Pittman, Eric Garcia, Kylie McKittrick, Luke McKittrick, Brenna McKittrick, Jack Bohannan, Lilah Bohannan, Hailey Bohannan, Grayson Rightmire, and Olivia Bohannan; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous cousins.
