Funeral services for Annette McCauley, 74, of Decatur, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Grace Baptist Church in Decatur, with burial to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., one hour before the service, at the church. Pastor William Brooks will officiate.
Annette (Burnett) McCauley passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, in Decatur, Texas. A devoted homemaker and faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Decatur, Annette lived a life marked by love, kindness, and quiet strength. She found joy in the simple blessings of life, especially reading and singing, and she shared her warmth with those around her. Annette was married to Preston McCauley Sr. for 54 cherished years until his passing in 2023, and their enduring love remained a meaningful part of her life and legacy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston McCauley Sr.; daughter, Jannetta McCauley, and great-granddaughter, Isabella Christansen.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Preston McCauley Jr. and wife Dandy of Decatur, and Bradly Christansen of Decatur; her grandchildren, Caleb McCauley of Alvarado, Jacob McCauley of Cleburne, and Samuel Quinton McCauley of Decatur; her great-grandchild, Cooper Christansen; and many extended family members and friends.
