A Celebration of Life for Amber Speed, 29, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Amber departed this life on Friday, May 1, 2026, in Denton, Texas. She was born on February 9, 1997, in Decatur, Texas, to James Speed and Dianna Claunch. Amber graduated from Bridgeport High School in 2016, where she was consistently on the A&B honor roll and was voted both "Most Friendly" and "Most Improved."
Amber loved playing games like bingo and Uno, and expressed her creativity through arts and crafts. Music was another passion; she especially enjoyed listening to Justin Bieber and JoJo Siwa. Like many girls, Amber took pleasure in getting her hair and nails done and wearing bracelets, necklaces, and headbands. She also cherished spending time outdoors.
Among those who preceded Amber in death are her grandfather, Jimmy Ray Taylor; great-grandparents, Verlan Ray and Antonina “Toni” Thompson; and cousins, Amy Nicole Traister and Chera Nicole Claunch.
Those left to cherish Amber’s memory are her mother, Dianna Claunch; sister, Miranda Hughes; grandmother, Ruby Taylor; uncle, William Claunch wife Kristie; aunt, Teresa Price and husband Danny; nephew, Austin Tamplen; niece, Aubrey Tamplen; cousins, Kyle Claunch, Jake Poteet, Victoria Poteet, and Tabatha Hobbs; her father, James Speed and his family in Indiana; as well as extended family, friends, and all those who will miss her dearly.
