Alvin Hatley

Alvin Lee Hatley, 67, of Boyd, Texas passed away January 31, 2016 in Boyd. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 3, at 10:00 AM at Boyd Cemetery with the Reverend Darrell Hatley officiating. Chancellor and Jones Family Funeral Home in Decatur is handling arrangements. Mr. Hatley was born, October 15, 1948 to Dillard Lee and Dorothy Dale Vess Hatley in Decatur, Texas. He was a painter and worked many years in the construction business. He leaves behind his son, Steven Hatley & Tracey Knaus of New Orleans, LA; daughter, Christina Hatley & Dennis Lasala of Boyd; brothers, Joe & wife Martha of Boyd, Timmy & wife Missy of Boyd, David Hatley of Boyd, Jimmy Wilson & wife Judy of Boyd; sisters, Judy Greer of Decatur, Anita Hays of Boyd, Nancy Hays of Boyd, Melissa & Raymond of Boyd, Wanda Smith and husband Rodger of Fife Lake, MI. Four grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Hatley was preceded in death by his parents, Dillard Hatley & Dorothy McDaniel; sister, Linda Carson of Oklahoma; and brother, Buddy Hatley of Boyd.
