A private family memorial for Alfred Foy Brown, 79, of Paradise, Texas, will be held at a later date. He entered his eternal resting place March 2, 2023, in Paradise, Texas.
Alfred was born January 8, 1944, in Bridgeport, Texas, to Robert Foy and Fay (Klein) Brown. He was, perhaps, best known for having owned Brown’s Custom Leather in Bridgeport and Paradise for three decades, before retiring in the early 1990’s, when his family assumed leadership of the company. His preferred tasks during retirement were to continue pursuing leatherwork, working with horses, spending time with his dog “Boss,” and drinking whiskey. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Robert and Wayne Brown; daughter Shirley Brown; sisters Carolyn England and Rhonda Brown Edwards; grandchildren Arik Brown, Pat Brown, Leah Drake, Cassidi Lambert, Dylan Collins, Ty Brown, and Cougar Brown; and seven great-grandchildren.
Alfred is preceded in death by his parents.
